Adoption - Foster Care - Mentoring

St. Andrew United Methodist Church invites you to join us on November 6, 2008 at 6:30 P.M. to learn more about adoption and foster care.

• Is international or domestic adoption best?
• What are the differences between private, public, open, and closed adoptions?
• What is foster care, and is it right for my family?
• How much does it cost to adopt?
• How does a family get approved to foster or adopt?
• Is it true that birth parents can “show up” in the future and take my adopted child?
• What if I’m not ready to make a full-time commitment, are there other ways to get involved?

Get answers to these questions and many more! Meet families who have adopted and fostered children, both internationally and domestically. Hear from a local attorney who has assisted families with over 750 adoptions. Visit with agencies who serve the local area.
