Because of You

Volunteer members of St. Andrew work in sub-groups under WORSHIP. These groups work weekly and monthly preparing for worship services each Sunday, and for special services throughout the year. These volunteers work quietly behind the scenes; their support and continually work help makes St. Andrew the welcoming church it is.
Communion Stewards: Volunteers purchase communion elements of bread and juice (these cost are reimbursed). They prepare the elements, and set up communion to be served each 1st Sunday, and other special services. They also clean-up communion after the services.
Sanctuary Stewards: Volunteers weekly go into the sanctuary and pick-up papers, fill the pew holders, sharpen pencils, check candles, dust, and replace misplaced hymnals. This is done on a rotating monthly schedule of the volunteer’s choice.
Ushers: Volunteers work on a rotating schedule each Sunday, and for special services. They greet, help seat guests and members each Sunday, and help with communion. These volunteers are very important to help keep all our services running smoothly.
Acolytes: A volunteer trains all our young helpers in a training session. They begin the worship service by lighting the alter candles, and help the ministers serve communion. Our volunteer schedules Acolytes for every Sunday Worship service.
Music: The Music director is a part of the Worship Committee. The director works with all the choirs of the church, and at each of the services enhancing the worship service with music.
SpecialEvents: Members of Worship are responsible for setting up All-Saints stands, decorating the sanctuary alters at Thanksgiving, decorating the Sanctuary and Keheley Center for Christmas, setting up schedules for Advent readers, and shrouding the crosses for Easter.
Flowers: When church members have flowers placed in the sanctuaries, a volunteer in charge of flowers coordinates this for them.
Please support Worship Committee with your prayers, presence, gifts, and your service. Your volunteer support of these areas of Worship enable the enrichment of our church services, and are a witness to the community that attends.
If you have questions, or would like to serve in any of the above areas,
