Love Offering

We have so many blessings to be thankful for here at St. Andrew United Methodist Church. Our staff always seems to go above and beyond what is expected and are a huge part of what makes St. Andrew so special. Please prayerfully consider your gift of a “love offering” during this season of giving to show our appreciation to these individuals who do so much for us all year. Please mark your check “love offering” on the memo line and put it in the offering plate, or, if more convenient, you can go online and indicate what it is for. All gifts should be received by December 21st.

Thank you so much for your consideration and Merry Christmas! St. Andrew UMC SPRC

All women in the church are invited to join our
UMW Circles

Esther Circle

Our next meeting is Monday, October 9th at 7:00pm. Gigi Graves, who is the founder and director of Our Pals Place, will be joining us for an educational program on how dogs are chosen to be rescued from the county shelters. We will also have some cuddle time with furry friends!
Sue Wallace is giving our devotion and Megan Ingle and Patty McGill are the dinner hostesses. Perhaps one of the September hostesses (Cathie, Janice, or Laurie) could offer to help as well since their night was cancelled. Please respond if you are able to pitch in.
Our mission focus will be bringing donations of newspapers, old towels, and blankets for the animal shelter. They can also use small dog treats and/or milkbones, and dog toys.
** We are still in need of volunteers for the craft show, especially kitchen shifts on Saturday, October 14th. Even an hour of your time would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Diane Woods if you can help.
**Attached to this email is the UMW District newsletter; enjoy!
We look forward to seeing you on Monday. Bring a friend!

Blessings from Pam and Diane

 Did YOU know.......
Red Bucket
The red bucket campaign has been in place for a few years and we have been able to reduce the mortgage balance a great deal through this campaign.  This year the finance committee is asking each member to make a sacrifice of one dollar each day to go toward our red bucket campaign and reduce our mortgage balance.  We are asking this in addition to your regular giving.  If every member contributed in this manner we would be able to reduce the balance on our mortgage by over $100,000 each year.  Be sure to mark your check “red bucket”.
Calling All Nurses
There are so many activities at St. Andrew and many children to keep safe.
We would love to know who are our members who are registered nurses.  We  would live to have you available at times likes Vacation Bible School.  But we can also do other activities to teach young people how to take care of
We would appreciate having you call Lorna Martin or leave a note with Carol in the church office.  All we need is your name and phone number.  We will contact you then to help us make suggestions and give us ideas for how to use our nursing skills to help youngsters and youth at St. Andrew.
