A huge thank you to Chelle Blancato and Tonya LeCroy and their boys, Josh, Sam, and Jake for coordinating the Haiti Earthquake Relief Bag effort at Blackwell Elementary. They collected and delivered literally hundreds of bags that were sent to the earthquake victims. They also collected and delivered some bags donated by Pope HS students.
Thank you to Tiffany Benincosa for promoting the Haiti Relief effort at McCleskey Middle School. The students at McCleskey wanted to help “school to school” so they collected over $650.00 to be used to help with the relief effort at Andrew Christian School in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Way to go MMS!!
A huge thumbs up to Sam and Ella Cooney!! (with some help from MOM) They decided to collect shoes for the school children in Haiti as part of a relief program. In order to meet a shipping date that was fast approaching they set a goal of 100 pairs!! They collected, cleaned, and rubber-banded together over 450 pairs of shoes!!! Wow!
Please keep the people of Haiti and especially our little students at Andrew Christian School and their families in your prayers. The rainy season is beginning and will hinder relief and rebuilding efforts.
