Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

At St. Andrew UMC, Stephen Ministers are here to provide one-on-one care for people in our congregation and community experiencing a difficult time in life. Stephen Ministry is the Care Giver. God is the Cure Giver.

To learn more, please contact Rev. Terry Phillips or call the church office at (770) 926-3488. That is the only thing you need to do. Just a phone call. We will take care of everything else in setting you up with a trained Stephen Minister. This is a confidential service and there is no cost involved. You don’t need to be alone.

SOUL CARE

When early Methodists met in small groups, they gathered around a simple question: “How is it with your soul?” This open, meditative question invites us to experience and respond to God in our everyday lives, whether in celebration or sorrow.

In this spirit, our Soul Care group meets the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the atrium of the Keheley Center, and all are welcome to check it out. We explore and engage in various spiritual practices, all directed toward nourishing our life with God.

GRIEF SUPPORT

In the end, there is no love without grief, whether in the loss of family or friends, the end of a season of life, or countless other secret pains. In these experiences, we need the support and presence of others to help process our emotions, ask our hard questions, and move toward healing.

St. Andrew’s grief support group meets on a seasonal basis, and is currently on hiatus for the Summer. Please check back for more info about our Fall session.
