God Rejoices Over You

Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord your God is with you.
    He is mighty to save.
He will take great delight in you.
    He will quiet you with his love.
    He will rejoice over you with singing.


Do you remember the day you accepted salvation? I was eight years old at
Friendship Club when two ladies gave us tiny red books filled with Bible verses.
On the last page, I answered yes to accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior, wrote my name, and went home for lunch.

Zephaniah was speaking to the people of Israel about what God would do when
they turned back to Him. My Bible note explains it this way: gladness comes when we allow God to be with us—when we faithfully follow Him and obey His
commands. And when we do, God rejoices over us with singing. Take a moment and picture that. When you made your decision to follow Christ,
God was filled with joy—and He sang over you. If you haven’t made that decision yet, isn’t now a good time for a song?
