Faith That Shows Up

Hebrews 11:6
And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to
him must believe God exists and that he rewards those that sincerely seek him.


This verse makes me think about my women’s small group. Eight of us meet each week for Bible study, fellowship, praises, and prayer concerns. These women are a beautiful example of faithfulness. That doesn’t mean we never disagree or have our “moments,” but Jesus is always in the room with us, gently smoothing out our rough spots.

Each woman is walking her own path with God. We share our faith, our doubts, our joys, and our struggles—and we hold those things carefully. We often say our group is like Las Vegas: what happens in group stays in group. So far, no one has broken that trust.

These women please God with their faith. They believe He exists, and their lives reflect the love of Christ to the people around them. And one of the sweetest rewards God has given us is each other.
